AeroGRID Reports Greater Demand for Professional Imagery
1/19/2012 12:00:00 AM

Paris, France, 18 January 2012 – During 2011 AeroGRID customers bought aerial data from 27 different countries. The selection of imagery supplied was diverse and from all over the world including Mexico, Brazil, Iceland, Serbia, Uganda, the Philippines and New Zealand. At the same time the number of countries for which significant aerial data coverage access has been located has increased to over 60.

Since the advent of worldwide Google imagery many of the established aerial survey companies, have come to understand that keeping their data locked up in an archive will not benefit anyone. While Google may well satisfy the consumer market there is still a thriving professional market for high accuracy orthorectified products. It is this market which AeroGRID seeks to serve.

“AeroGRID now has an established network of partners extending to every continent,” said Miles Taylor, General Manager. AeroGRID knows the market and we can source aerial data for our customers wherever it may be available. We are actively seeking new partners to extend our reach still further and anyone interested in making their data available to a wider audience should get in touch. We are extending our WMS/WFS service in 2012 too, so that much of our data will be available for convenient internet access,” continued Taylor.
